Pokemon School

Become a Pokemon Master at Pokemon Trainer School.
Students will use the Pokemon Showdown app to create a competitive team of Pokemon and put their skills to the test battling other members of the class. We emphasize the importance of winning and losing with grace and learning from both experiences. Learn type advantages, technical combos, and more!

Pokémon Trainer School promotes skills like sportsmanship, strategy, and value assessment.

Minecraft

If you can dream it, you can build it! The sky is the limit!
Students will use the popular Minecraft program to collaborate, create, and design on our safe, private Minecraft servers. Not only will your child’s creations be safe; your child will be, as well!
Minecraft promotes skills like mathematical literacy (especially geometry), project planning, and resource management.

Board Games

Board games have come a long way since Monopoly!
Play an assortment of sophisticated and strategic board games, like Castle Panic, Quartz, and Santorini. Using Tabletopia, we play games across a range of genres including co-op, social deduction, and classics such as chess!
The Board Games elective promotes skills like critical thinking, planning, and risk management.

D&D Mini-
Adventures

Even the mightiest heroes need a day off!

In this class, we take a break from fighting the forces of evil to explore a more personal side of our heroes! From fishing to feasting to festivals, D&D mini-adventures give students an opportunity to define who their character is, and what they like to do to unwind!

Making a Dungeon

Behind every dungeon in D&D is a capable architect. Every trap, obstacle, and enemy is placed with intent and skill. Students will learn the process behind making interesting, challenging, and fair dungeons with the assistance of our Game Masters, and put their creations to the test against other players!
Making a Dungeon promotes skills like visual design, game design, storytelling, and creative testing.

The Danger Room

United we stand, divided we fall!
Using Dungeons & Dragons, students will put their heads together to face extremely challenging combat scenarios. Choose from a wide range of pre-made characters made to test your ability and game knowledge. Only with teamwork, strategy, and creativity will students overcome these odds and emerge victoriously.
The Danger Room promotes skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance!

World Building

Bring worlds to life in our world-building class!
Students will work together under the guidance of their instructor to create a one-of-a-kind world. Discuss and design the history of this world, who lives there, and what happens in day-to-day life.
Worldbuilding is a perfect activity for those aspiring to run their own D&D game someday, future authors, and anyone looking to create collaboratively
